Spring has Sprung

Spring is in the air. And for much of North American soccer that means a return to the great outdoors.

I’m not going to editorialize for long this time. I’ll leave it for you to find your way around the site. For many of you, you already know what to expect.

For our new visitors, the layout of our home page is CCC – Clean, Crisp and Clear – or so our readers tell us.

We’ve had feedback that one of the problems is that we are doing too well; that the content is plentiful and interesting, but almost overwhelming.

Mick Hoban of SoccerSolutions suggested we work on a system whereby we email you between Issues to give a summary that you can print out at your leisure and read at your leisure – probably in a PDF format.

So don’t be surprised if you hear from us sooner rather than later.

This is Issue #7 and a pattern is being established particularly with continuity in content in specific departments. We’ll make some decisions after the next two issues as to how we are going to archive and organize the information for easier reference – as well as providing a search option.

We also want to start getting more interactive. In this issue we begin our Letters to the Editor Section and next issue you can look forward to profiles of soccer clubs in the League Management section.

In the meantime enjoy Down-the-Line, the great outdoors and real grass – depending on how much there is of it!.

Tony
